AMILTON, Bermuda, November 2 -- Orient-Express Hotels Ltd. (www.orient-express.com), owners of 49 deluxe hotel, restaurant, tourist train and river cruise properties in 25 countries, today announced its results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2005.
For the quarter net earnings were $19.5 million ($0.50 per common share) on revenue of $132.4 million, an increase of 70% over net earnings of $11.5 million ($0.34 per common share) in the year earlier period. Earnings per common share were up 47% and revenue was up 29% over the third quarter of 2004.

Olympic Airways - Services SA (OA-S) announces the commencement of aircraft maintenance services for Singapore Airlines' (SQ) fleet of BOEING 777-200/300 visiting Athens International Airport on a twice-weekly basis.

Iceland Express Managing Director, Birgir Jónsson, today announced the signing of a contract to lease three Boeing MD 90 aircraft from Hello of Switzerland.
The three year contract is worth close to £28 Million pounds and the first aircraft will be delivered on 01st March 2006, followed closely by the second on the 07th April and the third on the 15th May. All three aircraft were manufactured in 1997 and will be flown by a mixture of Icelandic and Swiss pilots.

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 2 -- Las Vegas is among the leading U.S. travel destinations for gays and lesbians, according to a recent study by Community Marketing, Inc., a San Francisco-based market research lab. Twenty-five percent of the 4,000 gays and lesbians surveyed traveled to Las Vegas in 2005, ranking second only to New York, where 30 percent had visited. San Francisco ranked third, with 24 percent.


Dubai, Nov. 2, 2005 -- Boeing and Ariana Afghan Airlines have finalized a fleet renewal plan that includes the lease of two 757-200s from Boeing Capital Corporation, as well as the direct purchase of four Next-Generation 737-700 airplanes that the airline will receive beginning in 2009. To keep pace with the increasing demand for cargo capacity to Ukraine, Austrian Cargo will further increase the number of cargo-only flights it provides to Kiev. Effective November 6, 2005 a Sunday departure will join the existing three rotations between Vienna and the Ukrainian capital. The all-cargo service is provided in cooperation with Ukraine International Airlines (UIA). By taking this step, the Austrian Airlines Group is strengthening its Central and East European competence as market leader in the cargo segment.

Met Air Berlin dagelijks naar Spanje
Met het ingaan van de winterdienstregeling is Air Berlin begonnen met een nieuwe verbinding vanuit Nederland. Sinds 1 november 2005 vliegt de op één na grootste Duitse luchtvaartmaatschappij ook tussen Amsterdam en Palma de Mallorca. Op de eerste vlucht richting de Spaanse zon waren 124 passagiers aan boord. Op de terugvlucht bedraagt het aantal passagiers zelfs 163. Het toestel vertrekt dagelijks om 06.55 uur vanaf Schiphol en landt om 09.30 uur op Mallorca. ST. MARTIN, French West Indies, Nov. 1 -- Carlson Hotels Worldwide today announced a major strategic expansion in the Caribbean with the acquisition of a premier beachfront resort property in French St. Martin with plans to transform it into a showcase Radisson Resort and Spa in 2006.
Jay Witzel, president and CEO of Carlson Hotels Worldwide and CEO of Carlson Cruises Worldwide, said the company has acquired the 253-room L'Habitation de Lonvilliers Resort (formerly the Le Meridien) on the French side of St. Martin. The company is investing $60 million for the acquisition plus extensive renovations and new construction which will create the luxurious new Radisson St. Martin Resort and Spa.

BANGKOK, 1 November, 2005 - Accor’s second Ibis hotel in China, Ibis Chengdu, recently opened in Chengdu’s newly established Hi-Tech Zone and is offering an incredible rate of only 128 RMB++ (US$16) a night until 31 December 2005.
The hotel represents the beginning of rapid Ibis brand expansion across Greater China. During 2006 Accor plans to open new hotels in Qingdao, Wuhan, Tanggu, Jiangyin, Wuxi and Zhongshan, increasing the network to eight Ibis properties around the country.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 31 -- Cathay Pacific Airways today released improved passenger and cargo traffic figures for September 2005.
The airline carried 1,245,828 passengers in September, a 13.8% increase year-on-year, just ahead of a corresponding 12.7% increase in passenger capacity, measured in terms of Available Passenger Kilometers, or ASKs. The passenger load factor increased to 76.4%, up 1.2 points from the same month last year, helped by the Chinese Mainland's Golden Week holiday.
Cathay Pacific carried 100,292 tons of cargo, up 19.8% from September last year, a figure that includes significant transhipment tonnage growth. Increased competition on key trunk routes to the US and Europe added to downward pressure on yield. The cargo load factor dipped slightly to 68%.

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia Pacific's leading luxury hotel group, announces a management agreement with developer Venetian Cotai Limited, a subsidiary of Venetian Macau Limited, to operate the Shangri-La Hotel, Macau and the Traders Hotel, Macau, both opening in 2008.
The properties will be located on the Cotai Strip, a few minutes drive from the airport and a 20-minute drive from downtown. Cotai, dubbed "Asia's Las Vegas," is a master planned development of hotel properties, casinos, entertainment attractions, retail and meetings and conventions facilities, projected to become the world's largest gaming and entertainment centre.

CHICAGO, Oct. 31 -- UAL Corporation, the holding company whose primary subsidiary is United Airlines, today reported its third-quarter 2005 financial results.
UAL reported third-quarter operating earnings of $165 million, $245 million better than the same quarter last year, despite higher fuel prices for the mainline and regional affiliates negatively impacting fuel expense by $405 million year-over-year. UAL reported a net loss of $1.8 billion, or a loss per basic share of $15.26, which includes $1.8 billion in reorganization items. The company believes the best indicator of United's post-reorganization financial performance is provided by reviewing operating and net earnings excluding restructuring charges. Excluding the reorganization items, UAL earned a net profit for the third quarter totaling $68 million.

Robin Zimmermann (34) will take charge of the TUI AG Press Office with effect from 1 December 2005. He will take over from Mario Köpers, who will be leaving the company. Zimmermann will report directly to Uwe Kattwinkel, the head of TUI Group Communications.

SEATTLE, Oct. 31 -- Virgin Express, the Brussels-based low cost airline, will upgrade its first 737-300 with Blended Winglets in December at Sabena Technics. The remaining 3 Blended Winglet options will be installed at Sabena Technics during 2006. Payback, in fuel savings alone, is anticipated at about 2.5 years, on a per aircraft basis, or more than 100,000 gallons per year.
Beyond the substantial fuel savings, Virgin Express is looking to measurably decrease engine wear, reduce noise and environmental emissions and project the image of an all-new fleet.


This year again TUI, Germany's largest tour operator, has awarded the hotel industry's "Oscar" to its 100 most popular hotels. A total of more than half a million hotel guests rated all 10'000 hotels in the tour operator's programme, and among the winners are two Mövenpick holiday resorts in Egypt. Anvers, le 28 octobre 2005 Aujourd'hui VLM Airlines a accueilli son 500.000e passager à bord d'un vol de London City vers Luxembourg.
En décembre 2004, le 500.000e passager marquait un record pour VLM Airlines, puisque la compagnie aérienne atteignait pour la première fois le seuil demi-million de passagers en un an. Aujourd'hui, deux mois plus tôt que l'année précédente, VLM Airlines atteint à nouveau ce pallier, indiquant ainsi une croissance stable du nombre de passagers sur l'ensemble du réseau de la compagnie aérienne. En 2004, VLM Airlines avait transporté un total de 554.000 sur son réseau.

EAGAN, MINN. -- Northwest Airlines Corporation (NWACQ), the parent of Northwest Airlines, today reported a third quarter net loss of $475 million or $5.45 per common share. This compares to the third quarter of 2004 when the airline reported a net loss of $46 million or $0.54 per common share.

AMSTELVEEN, October 28, 2005 - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines reported solid operational performance in the third quarter of 2005. Although passenger volume increased sharply during the quarter and further security measures were implemented, the number of passengers who failed to catch connecting flights was substantially lower than in the same quarter last year. Moreover, the volume of missing baggage also dropped sharply in the third quarter of 2005. Read more.

CEBU - Hilton International returns to the Philippines with the launch of its most recent Hilton Worldwide Resort on the tropical island of Mactan in Cebu, located ten minutes from Mactan International Airport and 25 minutes from Cebu City. TAIPEI - EVA Air is adding flights to Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Jakarta, Vienna and London, which begin with the start of its winter schedule on the 30th of October this year. EVA is boosting Brisbane services from three per week to four, and its Sydney flights from two to three per week. The Auckland flight code-shared with Air New Zealand will be increased from three flights per week to four. EVA is raising its Taipei-London service from five flights a week to six and lifting its Vienna service from three to five weekly trips. EVA is hiking its Taipei-Jakarta service from three to six flights per week. The Taiwan carrier has also scheduled 130 special charter flights on routes between Taipei and popular Japanese destinations from September through to December this year.


SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines has joined hands with Singapore Changi Airport to offer customers a range of privileges when they transit the airport. Singapore Airlines passengers can enjoy the airport's shopping, dining and lifestyle services at discounts of up to 50%, while also using many of the airport's other services for free. MINNEAPOLIS - Carlson Hotels Worldwide has expanded its goldpoints plus hotel loyalty program to allow members in North, Central and South America to earn Gold Points when staying at any of Carlson's participating hotels and resorts in Asia Pacific. BANGKOK - Thai Airways International has made adjustments to its Winter Program. The carrier will start offering three flights per week on its Bangkok-Moscow route. THAI will also operate two service per week on its Bangkok-Islamabad route. Other adjustment includes changes to its North American routes, with the airline to also offer 3 additional services on its European routes.


MANILA - Philippine Airlines (PAL) will commence a regular Manila-Beijing service on the 11th of November this year. The flight will operate three times a week, with departures from Manila every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday and return services from Beijing on the same day. PAL returns to Beijing, its third destination in China, after a 16 year absence. The airline already operates a daily service to Shanghai and four-times-weekly flights to Xiamen in Fujian province.

NEW YORK, Oct. 27 -- Continental Airlines today announced it will launch daily nonstop flights between its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and Cologne, Germany, starting on May 10, 2006, pending government approval. This will be the first scheduled service between the U.S. and Cologne since 1990.


HONG KONG - Cathay Pacific is offering a fifth daily flight from its Hong Kong hub to the South Korean capital Seoul. The new non-stop service begins on the 27th of January next year.

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 27 -- Cathay Pacific Airways and UNICEF together launched the 2005/06 "Change for Good" inflight fundraising program as they announced a record HK$12 million (US$1.5 million) collected this past year. Helping to kick-off the latest program were UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Jackie Chan and Hong Kong Committee for UNICEF Ambassadors Charlie Young, Gigi Leung and Karen Mok.
This will be the 15th year that Cathay Pacific has supported the program, which seeks passenger donations of spare and unwanted foreign currency collected during flights by Cathay Pacific flight attendants. The 2004/05 fundraising year collected a record HK$12 million (US$1.5 million) -- of which HK$580,000 (US$75,000) was donated to the Cathay Pacific Wheelchair Bank. Cathay Pacific has raised more than HK$62 million (US$8 million) for the UNICEF program since 1991.

HOUSTON, Oct. 27 -- Continental Airlines is continuing to evacuate stranded tourists from Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Continental had three flights depart Cancun and two flights depart Cozumel today. All flights are arriving at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport.
All Continental passengers have been evacuated from Cozumel. Nearly 500 tourists were evacuated on three Continental flights that left Cancun today.

Stable regulated tariffs at Brussels Airport for the coming 5 years

EVERETT, Wash., Oct. 27, 2005 – Boeing today delivered Air New Zealand's first Boeing 777-200ER (Extended Range) airplane. The airplane is the first of eight Boeing 777-200ERs, four of which are being leased through ILFC, which Air New Zealand will receive through 2006.

("SkyWest") today reported operating revenues of $497.3 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, a 61.3% increase, compared to $308.3 million for the same period last year. SkyWest reported net income of $30.1 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, or $0.51 per diluted share, compared to $21.3 million of net income or $0.37 per diluted share for the same period last year.

TULSA, Okla., Oct. 27 -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. today reported results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total revenue for the 2005 third quarter was $456.7 million, an 8.5 percent increase over the 2004 third quarter. Net income for the quarter was $28.4 million, or $1.07 per diluted share. For the comparable 2004 quarter, net income was $25.0 million, or $.96 per diluted share.
