HICAGO, May 01, 2006 -- The Boeing Company and Aviall, Inc. announced today that they have entered into a definitive agreement for Boeing's acquisition of Aviall in an all cash merger for $48 per share or $1.7 billion. Boeing will also assume approximately $350 million of net debt as part of the transaction.
Aviall is the largest independent provider of new aviation parts and services in the aerospace industry. Its capabilities include global parts distribution and supply chain services for aerospace, defense and marine industries worldwide. Aviall's 2005 revenue was $1.3 billion, with more than 25 percent growth expected in 2006.

Mr Miller, a former Chief Operating Officer of Air New Zealand and the architect of several successful airline turnaround projects, told the Centre's Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Aviation & Tourism Investor Summit in Mumbai that the Government is in a position to capitalise on previous experience with airline mergers in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

La Colombie accueille à nouveau les touristes.
Une regrettable erreur s'est glissée dans notre information sur la Colombie. C'est en effet erronément que nous avons ecrit "Boliviennes" et "Bolivie" en lieu et place de "...les autorités Colombiennes..." et "La Colombie est un pays à découvrir...".
La Colombie a longtemps joui d'une assez mauvaise réputation suite à la violence qu'a connu le pays dans le passé. Après avoir fait la une de l'actualité pour le taux d'enlèvement le plus élévé au monde et la violence principalement provoquée par les mouvements de guérilla, la Colombie connait aujourd'hui une plus grande stabilité et surtout une sécurité accrue dont bénéficie l'industrie touristique. C'est ainsi qu'en 2005 près d'un million d'étrangers ont visité le pays ce qui constitue une progression de l'ordre de 21% par rapport à 2004. Autre preuve du redressement de l'industrie touristique est la tenue à Bogota d'un workshop de deux jours qui s'est terminé le 27 avril 2006. Conscientes du potentiel touristique du pays les autorités Colombiennes entendent promouvoir non seulement les plages et le soleil mais également l'histoire et la culture, le congrès et conventions, l'agrotourisme sans oublier un autre point fort à savoir le tourisme d'aventure. La Colombie est un pays à découvrir qui possède un important potentiel qui ne peut que séduire le touriste en quête de nouvelles découvertes. Nous y reviendrons prochainement.

Eerste ‘geautomatiseerde’ hotel in Denemarken
De tweede stad van Denemarken, Århus in Oost-Jutland, heeft het eerste ‘geautomatiseerde’ hotel in Denemarken in gebruik genomen: Hotel Marselisborg Havn. Het is een hotel dat alleen kan worden geboekt als de gast in het bezit is van een creditcard. Van de boeking via internet tot aan de online betaling gaat alles automatisch in dit nieuwe low-budget hotel, dat dichtbij de zomerresidentie van de Deense koningin Margrethe II is gelegen.
Voor ‘spontane’ gasten van het nieuwe hotel is er een mogelijkheid om bij de ingang gebruik te maken van een boekingscomputer. Wie vooraf boekt krijgt per e-mail of per sms een code, waarmee toegang tot het hotel en de gereserveerde kamer kan worden verkregen. Het aantal personeelsleden in het hotel kon door de automatisering sterk worden beperkt.
Hotel Marselisborg Havn heeft 26 tweepersoonskamers met bad en toilet. Alle kamers hebben tv- en internetaansluiting. Een overnachting kost 550 DKK (€ 75) in een eenpersoonskamer en 695 DKK (€ 94) in een tweepersoonskamer, inclusief ontbijt en een parkeerplaats voor een auto.

Leuk is dat in het museum werkstations staan opgesteld, waarmee opdrachten kunnen uitgevoerd worden, en er zijn allerlei kunstige spelletjes die nèt even anders zijn en daardoor gegarandeerd zorgen voor veel speelplezier.
