The chain membership option, which the GCB German Convention Bureau e.V. introduced for hotels a few months ago, has met with a good response: After Maritim Hotelgesellschaft mbH with 24 hotels, Rezidor Hotels Management GmbH has now enrolled twelve hotels in the GCB - six of them are new.

The Rezidor Group was formerly represented in the GCB by three centrally located hotels in Berlin - Radisson SAS, The Regent and the Park Inn - as well as Radisson SAS hotels in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Cologne. Event planners looking for a suitable venue in Germany who contact the GCB, will now also receive information about Radisson SAS Hotels in Düsseldorf, Erfurt, Hannover, Karlsruhe, Leipzig and Rostock. The Rezidor Group hopes to gain more events with the larger number of hotels and to enhance its brand awareness. “Our development in Germany focuses on the meetings and conferences segment: We are reinforcing this with investments in modernity, functionality and design. So it makes sense to join forces with corresponding institutions like the GCB,” says Susanne Weiss, Global Director Sales of the Rezidor Hotel Group.

GCB managing director Lutz P.
