October 19, 2006 -- Condor has expanded its contracts with AVIAREPS for five further markets with immediate effect. The Airline Management Company will represent Condor in all sales and marketing activities in the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Poland. Continental Airlines Announces Third Quarter Profit
Co-workers' profit sharing pool now exceeds $100 million |
HOUSTON, October 19, 2006 -- Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today reported third quarter 2006 net income of $237 million ($2.17 diluted earnings per share), which includes a $92 million gain on the sale of a portion of the company's investment in Copa Airlines. Excluding net special charges of $1 million and the $92 million Copa gain, Continental recorded net income of $146 million ($1.36 diluted earnings per share).
Operating income for the third quarter was $192 million, an $83 million improvement over the same period of 2005, despite fuel price increases costing over $155 million and the negative impact of increased security measures that took effect on Aug. 10. In addition, results for the third quarter of 2006 include a $42 million accrual for employee profit sharing, bringing the cumulative accrued profit sharing pool to over $100 million.

TAM Receives 10th Airbus A320; Fleet Totals 91 Aircraft
Company Foresees at Least 96 Aircraft in Operation by the End of the Year to Support Increasing Passenger Demand
SAO PAULO, Brazil, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TAM S.A., Brazil's largest airline company, yesterday received another Airbus aircraft A320 that starts operating today, October 17. This is the 10th Airbus A320 incorporated this year into TAM's fleet, bringing the total to 91 aircraft, of which 69 are Airbus models -- 13 A319, 46 A320, and 10 A330. TAM expects its fleet to achieve a minimum of 96 airplanes at the end of 2006.
Lufthansa Increases Services At London City
Lufthansa continues to expand services from London City with the introduction of two new destinations - Hamburg and Nuremberg and a tripling of capacity to Munich from the start of the winter timetable. The new frequencies will increase the number of destinations served by Lufthansa from London-City from four to six and will boost the total number of flights from the Docklands airport to 68 a week, an increase of 36 per cent, when the winter timetable comes into effect on Sunday 29 October 2006.
JAL & Malév Hungarian Airlines Expand Code share Agreement
Tokyo, October 17, 2006: Japan Airlines and Malév Hungarian Airlines (MA) have expanded their code share agreement to include from October 29, 2006 daily round trip flights operated by Malév between Amsterdam and Budapest.
The new intra European code share flights provide smooth connections with JAL’s daily service between Tokyo (Narita) and Amsterdam (JL411/412), increasing the route options and convenience available to passengers traveling between Japan and Hungary.
Last year, JAL and Malév inaugurated a code sharing agreement, which allowed JAL to place its flight numbers on daily flights operated by the Hungarian national airline between Frankfurt and Budapest. The flights connect with JAL’s daily service operating between Tokyo and Frankfurt (JL407/408).
Tickets including this new code share go on sale today, October 17, 2006.
JAL Further Expands China Network Through Code Share Agreements
Tokyo, Friday October 13, 2006: Japan Airlines (JAL) will further strengthen its Japan-China network, the largest network between the two countries, by expanding its bilateral code share agreements with China Eastern Airlines (MU), and Xiamen Airlines (MF).
From October 29, 2006, JAL starts code sharing on China Eastern Airlines’ daily non-stop service between Fukuoka and Shanghai. The agreement doubles the number of flights per week available to JAL passengers traveling between Fukuoka – Shanghai, as JAL currently operates its own daily service between the two cities.

Austrian Reduces Fuel Surcharge For Long-Haul Flights
Due to a slight relaxation in conditions on fuel markets, the fuel surcharge for Austrian Airlines long-haul flights (except Australia) is reduced by EUR 10.00. For all tickets issued as of today the surcharge will be cut from EUR 62.00 to EUR 52.00 per flight segment.
The surcharges in the short-haul and medium-haul segments at EUR 12.00 as well as for flights to Australia at EUR 72.00 per one-way flight remain unchanged.

Nieuw Vlaams Statuut Reisbureaus
