Fully booked inaugural flight to China
Brussels, 20 July 2006 - Today in Brussels Airport, 233 passengers embarked on board of the inaugural flight connecting Belgium to the People's Republic of China. The new direct service between Brussels, Beijing and Shanghai is the result of a partnership between SN Brussels Airlines and Hainan Airlines.
Continental Airlines Announces Second Quarter Profit
Strong revenue growth provides highest quarterly profit since 2001; expects 2007 mainline capacity growth of 5 percent; consolidated capacity growth of 3 percent to 4 percent due to regional jet reduction
HOUSTON, July 20, 2006 -- Continental Airlines today reported second quarter 2006 net income of $198 million ($1.84 diluted earnings per share), a significant improvement over its second quarter 2005 net income of $100 million ($1.26 diluted earnings per share). Excluding special charges, Continental recorded net income of $208 million ($1.93 diluted earnings per share). Operating income in the second quarter of 2006 was $244 million, more than double that of the second quarter of 2005, in spite of fuel price increases costing over $200 million and including a $60 million accrual for employee profit sharing.
Grupo Marsans expands its Airbus long haul fleet with purchase of up to 22 A330s
19 July 2006 -- Grupo Marsans, the largest tourism and transport group in Spain, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus in Farnborough for the purchase of 12 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, plus 10 options. The aircraft will be delivered between 2008 and 2009.

Boeing and ILFC Announce Order for 10 New Airplanes
FARNBOROUGH, England, July 19, 2006 -- The Boeing Company and International Lease Finance Corp. (ILFC) today announced an order for six 737-800s, two 777-300ERs and two 787 Dreamliners . The aircraft covered in today's announcement are option exercises by ILFC valued at approximately $1.2 billion at list prices. Deliveries of the 737s and the 777s begin in the first quarter of 2009 and the 787 deliveries begin in early 2012.
ILFC was the first leasing company to be announced as a 787 customer.

Finnair Orders 757-200 Blended Winglet(TM) Systems
SEATTLE, July 17 -- Finnair has placed 7 firm orders, plus 2 options, for Aviation Partners Boeing Blended Winglet Systems. Installations, which are likely to be performed by Finnair Technical Services in Helsinki, will begin in October 2006 and complete August 2007.
With fuel savings of up to 250,000 gallons per aircraft per year, Finnair's Blended Winglet payback will be around 2 years for fuel savings only. Additional performance benefits of Aviation Partners Boeing's Visible Technology include more than 200-nm additional range capability plus important environmental benefits, including significantly reduced emissions of carbon monoxide and nitrous oxides.
Finnair non-stop to Madrid and Manchester
Finnair is improving its connections between Helsinki and Madrid as well as Helsinki and Manchester by making these services non-stop. The stopover in Stockholm will be discontinued on the Manchester route starting September and on the Madrid connection starting 29 October, with the introduction of the winter traffic schedule.
At the same time, Finnair's Barcelona flights will also see a timetable change. In the future, the route will be operated from Helsinki in the afternoons, not mornings, and the Barcelona-Helsinki service will be operated earlier in the morning. The rescheduling offers better connections from Barcelona to Finnair's Asian flights.
The changes have been made thanks to increases in passenger numbers on these routes.
New European Record: German Air Navigation Services Control More Than 10,000 Flights in One Day
LANGEN, Germany -- Never before have there been so many flights in a European country in one day; on 10 July 2006, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH controlled 10,137 flights in Germany. The high number of fans returning home after the World Cup was a major factor in achieving this record in German airspace, which is experiencing continuously high growth rates. DFS controllers ensured that 7,400 additional flights reached their destinations safely during the World Cup - 2.4 per cent more than in the same period last year.

Gibraltar's first low cost and local based airline will be setting out its stand for the first time at London's World Travel Market between 6-9 November at ExCeL London. Fly Gibraltar plans to launch low cost flights from The Rock of Gibraltar to London Stansted, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Dublin and Cork from April 2007, but expects to start ticketing from October 2006.

Deutsche Bahn rail availability and fares to be displayed through Amadeus system
Deutsche Bahn, the main provider of railway services in Germany, has entered into a global agreement with AccesRail and Amadeus to allow Deutsche Bahn to display their rail availability and schedules alongside those of airlines on the Amadeus display.

The agreement will allow Deutsche Bahn to sell their services worldwide alongside airlines, providing travellers with the latest accurate schedule data they need, to make an informed choice between rail and air. Travel agencies will not need to have any special agreement with Deutsche Bahn to be able to book and issue tickets. The agreement excludes Europe, in an initial phase, where local solutions will remain in place.
