In the year to the end of November, the Austrian Airlines Group has carried 9.7% more passengers on scheduled services than in the same period the previous year. When charter traffic is included in the figure, the company carried a total of 10.1 million passengers, so almost reaching the result for the full year of 2005. Consequently the company looks set to achieve an historic passenger record for the full year of 2006. During the period January to November 2006, the Austrian Airlines Group raised its traffic result measured in revenue passenger kilometers on scheduled services (RPK) by 6.2%. This figure compares to growth in availability of 5.6% as measured in available seat kilometers (ASK). The passenger load factor on scheduled services rose by 0.4 percentage points to 74.3% compared to 2005.

November 2006
The Austrian Airlines Group carried around 717,000 passengers on its scheduled flights in November. As a result, the company achieved a rise in passenger volume of 6.0% compared to 2005. Scheduled availability measured in available seat kilometers (ASK) increased by 1.4% compared to the same period the preceding year. Revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) on scheduled services were 2.5% higher in November than the figure for the previous year. At 72.8%, the load factor on scheduled services increased by 0.8 percentage points compared to last year. Availability on charter services was reduced, in accordance with seasonal and market conditions. With an overall rise in passenger volume of 4.0% compared to November 2005, the Austrian Airlines Group once again succeeded in improving its performance, carrying a total of around 756,000 passengers.
