Emirates Boost Capacity On London Route
Emirates airlines has increased capacity by more than 500 seats each week on its services between Dubai and London Gatwick, with the introduction of a new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on one of its three daily flights to London Gatwick.
EK now operates the brand new Boeing 777-300ER (Extended Range) aircraft, the longest, and one of the word's largest commercial aircraft, on one of its frequencies to London Gatwick.
The new aircraft provides 364 seats in a three-class configuration, with 12 seats in First Class, 42 in Business and 310 in Economy - 74 more seats per day than the aircraft currently operating this flight.
Airport Expo Dubai Upgrade To Accommodate Growth
Airport Expo Dubai is to get its third upgrade to accommodate growth for Dubai 2007, the tenth international aerospace exhibition.

China Southern Announces More New International Routes; Nation's Largest Airline Increases Service To Singapore & Baku
GUANGZHOU, China, May 22, 2006 - China Southern Airlines - www.cs-air.com/en - with the largest and most technically advanced aircraft fleet in The People's Republic of China has announced further expansion of its International route network with new service to Baku and Singapore.
China Southern's Hainan Branch has launched all-new 737 service between Haikou and Singapore. China Southern Airlines flight CZ3097/3098 will operate a Boeing 737 between Haikou and Singapore each Tuesday and Friday.
China Southern Airlines Xinjiang Branch has started new 757 service from Urumqi in Northwestern China to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. China Southern Xinjiang Branch currently operates nine International routes to eight countries. China Southern's flight CZ6023/4 will operate a Boeing 757 service between Urumqi and Baku each Tuesday.

New U.S. Airline to Fly from New York to Russia
NEW YORK, May 23 -- A new U.S. airline, Baltia Air Lines, based at the JFK Airport in New
York at Terminal 4, is getting ready to start nonstop service to St. Petersburg, Russia with a Boeing 747. Currently, the only other US airline operating to Russia is Delta Air Lines which flies nonstop to Moscow.
After starting the JFK-St. Petersburg nonstop service, Baltia plans to develop its initial route network, flying nonstop from JFK to Riga, Kiev and Minsk. Boeing Celebrates Delivery of ILFC's 600th Airplane; Leased to Shanghai Airlines

The airplane is the 600th Boeing aircraft delivered to ILFC and will join 11 other Next-Generation 737s that ILFC currently leases to Shanghai Airlines.

ATLANTA, May 23 -- In 2005, U.S. hotels were able to turn a healthy 8.8 percent rise in total revenue into an impressive 15.5 percent increase in profits according to the recently released 2006 edition of Trends in the Hotel Industry published by PKF Hospitality Research (PKF-HR), an affiliate of PKF Consulting. This marks the second consecutive year of double-digit profit growth for U.S. hotels. Victoria-Jungfrau To Manage In Bern
The Swiss government will hand over the management of the Bellevue Palace Hotel to Victoria-Jungfrau on 1 January 2007. The 130-room hotel, which is owned by the government, is the only five-star hotel in the Swiss capital Bern. The Annual General Meeting for the term April 2005 ~ March 2006 was held on Friday, the 5th of May at Grand Plaza Parkroyal Hotel. The previous Meeting Minutes; Financial Review, Performances and Activities for the year 2005/6 have been presented and approved.
Members had unanimously voted Dr. Aung Myat Kyaw as Chairman; Mr. Jehan Wickremesooriya as Vice Chairman; Daw Su Su Tin as Secretary; Daw Rita Myint as Treasurer; and the other Executive Committee Members are: Daw Phyu Phyu Mar; Mr. Teddy Chia; Mr. Selvakumar; and Mr. Suki Singh.

DISCOVER YANGON ! A new initiative from the MMC
MMC (Myanmar Marketing Committee) will be producing a series of travel books on popular tourist destinations in Myanmar, featuring comprehensive information and articles on Accommodation; Attractions; Restaurants and Bars; Shopping; and Entertainment in the various destinations in Myanmar.
The production of "DISCOVER YANGON" is the first on our agenda. This book will provide in-depth information of Yangon, to encourage visitors to stay longer in Myanmar's Capital City and the Gateway to the Golden Land.

Le Guide Michelin Benelux 2007 sera scindé en deux ouvrages
Pour le millésime 2007, le Guide Michelin Benelux sera scindé en deux éditions : un Guide Michelin Belgique-Luxembourg et un Guide Michelin Pays-Bas.
Michelin a décidé d'éditer deux guides au lieu d'un seul afin de mieux répondre aux attentes des clients.
Dès 2007, la collection des Guides Michelin comportera 15 éditions différentes couvrant 20 pays européens, ainsi que les villes de New York et de San Francisco, dont la première édition sera publiée en octobre prochain.
Les Guides Michelin Belgique-Luxembourg 2007 et Pays-Bas 2007 seront disponibles dans tous les points de vente au Benelux à partir du 30 novembre 2006.
TIA Forecasts Summer Leisure Travel Essentially Flat In 2006
According to TIA's Summer 2006 Forecast, Americans will take 325.6 million leisure person-trips during June, July and August 2006 which correlates to a travel volume growth of less than 1 percent this year amid relatively soft travel intentions.
