Joint enterprise of TUI Russia and VKO intends to become a leader of outbound tourism

The deal of purchasing of 75% of share of VKO Holding has been completed.

“With completing the deal we are starting a realization of new phase of strategic development of the company in Russia”, said Michael Kimmer, Managing Director of TUI Russia & CIS. – Our strategy gives an opportunity for consolidation of experience and resources of the Russian and international specialists of travel business”.

The main destinations of VKO such as Spain, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia and ski resorts of Andorra, Austria, France and Italy will be supplemented by new offers of TUI Travel. New destinations will be offered to the Russian consumers in summer of 2010.

Just to remind, the information about achieved agreement of TUI Russia & CIS (joint enterprise of TUI Travel and S-Group Capital management) with VKO appeared on the 15th of April, 2009. At the end of July this deal was approved by antimonopoly authorities of EU and Russia.
